Ruger Jay Andrew Boude, age 9, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away far too soon. Born on February 15, 2017, Ruger brought light, laughter, and deep love into the lives of everyone who knew him. A proud 2nd grader, Ruger was a huge music lover who could often be found listening to his favorite song, “Holler Boys” by Upchurch. His favorite colors—red, black, and John Deere green—matched his strong, energetic, and spirited personality. He loved working with his hands, building trailers, fixing things, and spending time with tools and pocketknives. In his own special way, Ruger would even hide tools and wrap them up as gifts, showing his creativity and the joy he found in giving to others. Ruger cherished simple, meaningful moments like sitting around a fire, swimming at the lake, and being surrounded by family, animals, and the people he loved most. He was kind to everyone who came into his life, leaving a lasting impression through his gentle heart and genuine care for others. Being around, Ruger taught those who knew him empathy and what true love really looks like. He will be remembered as a “big boy helper” and “Mom’s little man,” always eager to lend a hand and be by his family’s side. Ruger is preceded in death by his father, Timothy Jay Anthony Boude. He is survived by his loving mother, Alicia Reanne Jackson; his dad, Steven Dewayne Duty; his brothers, Gauge Jerry Allen Boude and Gunner Jay Anthony Boude, both of Oklahoma City, and Colby Joe Lee Busey and Caleb Joe Ray Busey, both of Elmore City; his sisters, Autum Alice Ann Duty of Oklahoma City, Jordan Duty of Springer, OK, Brianna Abella of Texas, and Desiree Carter of Midwest City; and his beloved fur babies, Genevieve, Little Girl, Shy Girl, and Tank, who loved him dearly. Ruger’s life, though brief, was full of purpose, love, and unforgettable moments. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on April 25, 2026, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141, US.
