Sarah Jessie Converse was born to James Walter Lee and Mary Ellen Sullivan on January 10, 1919, at Camp Verde, Arizona. She was the 13th of 15 children. To put her date of birth into perspective, Sarah was born seven years after the sinking of the Titanic, and two months after the end of World War I.
Sarah was a retired Department of Human Services employee.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, eleven brothers, three sisters, two stepsisters, her husband Raymond Converse, her son Billy DaVee, daughter Betty Starks, granddaughter Cynthia Campbell and grandsons Jerry Starks, Jeffrey DaVee and Billy DaVee.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law. Doris Sellers of Bartlett, Tennessee, Janice and Bruce Reynolds of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and Karen and Kip Henry of Yukon, Oklahoma, 12 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
