Sherry Lee Peladeau, AKA: “Honey Sherry,” 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on the early morning of May 8th, 2025, in Piedmont, OK. Sherry was born on July 30th, 1943 to parents, George and Louise Pence of Hanford, CA.
Sherry worked many years as a switchboard operator and worked her way up to a supervisor for AT&T where she worked until retirement. She was incredibly proud of her job and cherished the many lifelong friendships she made while employed there. Sherry had one child, Bonnie Michelle Grady, whom she wholeheartedly loved every day from her first and final breath. She was very proud of her beautiful 5lbs., green eyed baby girl, and if you knew the two of them, then you knew that they were attached at the hip, a “Thelma and Louise” of sorts.
Sherry met the love of her life James A. Peladeau later in life, a true “Wildman” and began spending her days traveling and sightseeing. They loved to load up and take road trips to no man’s land, spend the night at random hotels and then when they felt like it, they would head home. They were “Free Spirits” if you will and loved each other very much. Many can remember them dancing and sucking faces in the living room to a good’ole song.
Sherry was known as the life of the party; she loved to entertain especially over the holidays. There wasn’t a party thrown without crate paper hung, tables decorated and music playing in the background. Sherry loved everyone, there wasn’t a hug or red lipstick kiss on the cheek that was missed and her door was always open if you needed a place to crash. Sherry was known for her tied dyed t-shirts, electric makeup, red lipstick, extravagant jewelry, love of peacocks and sun flowers and her cherry red trans am, AKA: “HTTUBBR.”
After the loss of her husband James, and daughter Bonnie, Sherry’s health started to deteriorate. Sherry was surrounded by love until the very end. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren cared for her daily, making sure she knew how much she was loved and reminding her that her memory will never be forgotten.
Sherry is survived by her sister and brother in law Ernie and July Love of Bakersfield, CA. Step daughter and son in law Mario and Lorena Parada of Norco, CA. Grandchildren; Klint and Nicole DesLaurier, Tyler and Bailey Grady of Piedmont, OK. Daniel, Demetri and Levina Parada and Arielle Navares of Norco, CA. Great grandchildren; Kolee, Kaylee, Kailee, Kole and Kolton DesLaurier and Talon, Declan and Baylor Grady of Piedmont, OK. Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends, all of which meant the world to her.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents George and Louise Pence, Husband James Peladeau, Sister and brother in law Rod and Alice Avery, Sister Sara Dickey, Daughter Bonnie Grady and step son James Peladeau.
“Our Father Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.” - AMEN
