Our beloved Stewart James, was born on November 30th, 1970, the last of five children. Stewart had a wonderful imagination. He enjoyed his own company. He loved his cowboy and indian figurines and his army men, as a little boy. He grew into playing T-ball and gradually, he became a natural at wrestling. As a teenager, Stewart wrote poetry, was a runner and he took up golf. Stewart graduated from Putnam City West in 1989. He did attend college but realized that wasn't the path he wanted to follow. Stewart was a fan of 60's and 70's rock. He was the most devout of fans for The Rolling Stones. Music was a major influence in our family growing up. Stewart was a voracious reader. He was incredibly knowledgeable about world history, from the period of the Roman Empire through the Vietnam War. He would have loved to have been a history teacher. Stewart had a huge heart when it came to animals. He rescued a dog that was being mistreated from a neighbor's backyard. His own dog, Booger, he adored. Stewart was topnotch when it came to cooking. He inherited this skill from his father. We loved when he would cook for us. Except for this last Thanksgiving and Christmas, Stewart would come over early to our mom's house prepping all that was needed, in addition to cooking for our family. He loved doing this. Stewart spent his entire career working in the hospitality industry. His favorite job of all time was working at Applewoods. He loved the people that he worked with. They were like family. He cared about those that came there to eat. After Applewoods closed, Stewart continued working until the last nine months of his life. Stewart loved his family and his friends. We are glad for Stewart, knowing his is free from all suffering and is at peace. We will love him forevermore. Stewart is survived his mother, Martha (Mardy), his sisters Barrie and Robin. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe, his sister Laura and his brother Jason.
