

Ted A. Askew of Midwest City, OK, was born March 4, 1943 in Oklahoma City, OK to Herbert and Mary Lou (Harrison) Askew and passed away October 27, 2014 at the age of 71 years. Ted was a Midwest City Police Officer for 25 years, he worked for the U. S. Marshal's Service for over 17 years and was a Marine Corps veteran. He enjoyed reading, writing, history and was an avid collector of music. He was an O.S.U. and Notre Dame Football fan. Camping and fishing and being with family, especially his grandchildren, were a favorite pastime for Ted. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Wanona of the home, three sons: Michael Vaughn Askew and wife Paula of Midwest City, Christopher Paul Stevens of Forney, TX, and Charlie Guy Stevens and wife Donna of Cleveland, OH.; three daughters: Tammy Peace and husband, Harold of Del City, OK; Loretta Davis and husband Gaylon of Jones, OK; and Lisa Blasingame and husband Brian of Nicoma Park, OK; twenty-one grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with Deacon Norm Mejstrik officiating. The Midwest City Police Department Honors Detail will render Funeral Honors after the service.
