Violet Lee Ola Robinson

Violet Lee Ola Haggard Robinson was born August 15, 1920 and went to meet the Lord, October 16, 2011. She was the daughter of Harry and Nellie Haggard and eventually found the love of her life and married Mr. Bill Robinson in 1947. She was a devout Christian and an active member of Olivet Baptist Church since 1951. Violet worked for Southwestern Bell and retired after 28 years of service; she was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She and Bill lived to camp, travel and see the world with their friends. One of their fondest spots and memories was Big Bend National Park in South Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Nellie Haggard, son Jerry Wright and daughter-in-law Tonia Wright. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, grandson Chris and wife Amy Wright, 2 great grandsons Harry and Teddy Wright, as well as many cousins, family and friends. Her generous loving spirit and personality touched the hearts of many. She will be missed by all that have known her. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Guardian West Funeral Home, 5820 NW 41st Street, Oklahoma City, OK. The services will be at Olivet Baptist on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
