Walter F. Nessel

Retired SMSgt (USAF), Walter F. Nessel, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 3, 2015, in MWC, OK, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 21, 1933 in Sweethome, TX to Henry and Dorothy (Guetersloh) Nessel. Walter also retired from the Oklahoma Tax Commission, and volunteered at the Omniplex. He enjoyed playing Senior Softball with The Statesmen. He is preceded in death by both his parents; brother, Norvin Nessel and sister, Linda Copeland. Survivors include his wife, Deanna; sons: David Nessel (Barbara), and Michael Nessel (Kerri); daughter, Nancy Wilson (Brent); grandchildren: Ashley, Daniel, Alexandra, Ben, Cassie, Sara, Cory, and great-grand child, Ella; sister, Helen Henson (Fred), brothers: Bob Nessel (Hilda) and Larry Nessel (Glenda ), sister-in-law, Jewell Nessel. A special thanks to Dr. Stephen Hamilton and Dr. Larry Bookman for the care and concern given to Walt and our family over the years. Visitation Thursday and Friday from 10AM-7:00PM at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 300 N. Air Depot Blvd, Midwest City with burial following at Arlington Memory Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Quality Care or St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Hospital.
