

Danny Cobb was born to Virginia Lee O’Bryan Cobb and William Dan Cobb in Edmond, Oklahoma on September 22, 1952, leaving his earthly family on December 3, 2013. He graduated from Edmond high School in 1970. After high school he served as an apprentice and went on to earn his Journeyman Mason License. He obtained a Real Estate Associate License and worked for Massey Real Estate. He was the operator-owner of local Construction Company and built custom homes and commercial buildings. He worked as a foreman at Heartland Masonry in Overland Park, KS before retiring. Danny was active in many service organizations; Edmond AMBUC’S where he helped raise money and build the playground at Clyde Howell for the special needs program. He was a member of The Edmond Elks Lodge and Edmond All Sports Program. While with EASP he served as a little league football coach and a girl’s fast pitch coach for many years.
He had many hobbies and interests: hunting, dancing and fishing. He loved spending time in tropical climates and soaking up the sun on the beach. His former place of residence was Lee’s Summit, MO before returning to Edmond.
Danny was married to Diane of Lee’s Summit, MO. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Wilbur McVay. He is survived by his daughter, Rachelle Cobb Ketchum; 2 step-children, Alison and Anthony; one brother, Bob McVay; 3 grandchildren, Dalton Ketchum, Taylor Ketchum and Nicholas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be available to greet friends at the home of Rachelle Ketchum, Thursday evening from 6-8:00 pm. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
