

Winona was born on October 25, 1924 in Morris, Oklahoma where she lived with her parents, Payne and Lydia Hensley. She passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. She had 3 sisters, Bonnie, Opal, and Doris. She also had 2 brothers, Payne Jr. and Thurman. Her family later moved to reside in Okmulgee, Okla.
She married Mr. Joe L. Proctor in 1942. They lived in Oklahoma City and were married for 38 years and two daughters were born to this union. Winona is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Carol Louise, and grandson, Richard Burdine. She is survived by Debra K. Boggs of Oklahoma City, 2 granddaughters, Jodie Renae Navarro, and Candice Lea Boggs, both of Oklahoma City. She also has one great-granddaughter, Carmen E. Navarro of Oklahoma City, and one great-grandson Colin Burdine.
Winona was a member of Memorial Christian Church for most of her life, and was retired from the Putnam City School District. She enjoyed her family, friends, and ballroom dancing.
Winona was a beautiful and special lady who loved life. She will be missed, but her memory will live on and on within her family and to all she touched in this life.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 16th, at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Ok.
Visitation for Winona will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15th at the funeral home.
