He will forever be remembered as a devoted father, loving grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he met.
Bernie was born on October 31, 1941 in Cambridge, MA to Percival Bernard and Vinie (Scott) Murphy. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
Bernie enjoyed golfing, history and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed.
Bernie is preceded in death by his parents, Percival and Vinie Murphy.
He is survived by his five children: Bernie Murphy Jr. and his wife Sidney of Bucyrus, Kansas, Brenda Murphy of the home, Bob Murphy and his wife Ramey of Bonita, California, Erica McDonald and her husband Corey and Jessica Murphy both from the state of Missouri. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Bernie will be cremated according to his wishes. A private family Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
