

Bradley Demont Kepley, 67, of Kansas City passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 7, 2022. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father, loving companion, papa, baba, brother, cousin and friend to everyone he knew.
Brad, as he was known by all his family and friends, was born on April 14, 1954 in Ulysses, Kansas to Cecil Demont and Evelyn Maxine (Olson) Kepley. He attended and graduated from Ulysses High School. After graduation he attended the University of Kansas belonging to the fraternity Phi-Kappa-Sigma. Brad worked in sales for a wireless communications company, Commenco. He loved to travel and was considered an adventurist. In his early career, Brad worked in the family business, “Kep’s Toggery & The Fashion Room” in Ulysses, Kansas. His brother Kendall resides as owner and operator keeping the family business alive.
Brad enjoyed attending special events and family gatherings. He was known as the “Camera Man” taking pictures of everyone attending. He enjoyed devoting time with his family and nothing gave him more pleasure in life than spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities. He loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs, KU Basketball, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Evelyn Kepley. He is survived by his soul mate Teresa Carter; his son, Casey Kepley and his wife Julie of Spring Hill, Kansas; his daughter, Carlie Simmons and her husband Josh of Olathe, Kansas; and the mother of his children, Lori Kepley Allen. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his three grandchildren: Jackson Simmons, Lailah Simmons and Hailey Simmons. Brad is also survived by his brother, Kendall Kepley and his wife Leigh of Garden City, Kansas; along with many cousins.
Brad will be cremated according to his wishes. An outdoor Celebration of Life honoring Brad’s life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, 8800 Greenway Lane, Lenexa, KS, 66215 in The Grand Pavillion from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brad’s memory may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 104 S. Maxwell Street, Ulysses, Kansas 67880.
