Christine was born on October 1, 1950 in Chicago Illinois to Edward and Dolores (Mroz) Grabbe.
She was a long time resident of Olathe where she worked as a public servant for the County for many years.
As a mother of two sons she was known to all the kids as the (cool mom) and it didn’t stop when she became a grandmother from laughing with her grandchildren at the most inappropriate times to taking them to Rock Fest. She will be truly missed.
She was well traveled and lived in many states prior to settling down in Olathe. She loved the outdoors and walking her beloved cat “Mr. Wilson”. She found serenity by reading poetry, parables and thoughts of being in the Rocky Mountains.
Anybody that knew her was touched by her amazing sense of humor and light heartedness. She will always be remembered for her deep love, support and most of all her laughing.
Christine is preceded in death by her Parents Edward and Dolores Grabbe and Mr. Wilson (her cat). She is survived by her 2 sons David Gilkey and his wife Sandra of Olathe, Kansas and Paul Gilkey and his wife Lynette of Sedona, Arizona. Left behind to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren David Gilkey Jr., Mariah Gilkey, Daniel Gilkey and Darren Gilkey. Christine is also survived by her brother Gary Grabbe of San Francisco, California and her two sisters Carol Grabbe of Concord, California, and Kathy Jo Grabbe of Stockton, California along with many nieces.
