Donald was married to his wife, Juanita, for 68 years. He and Juanita had three daughters. Don had a beautiful singing voice and was a classical music lover. Don had an impressive aerospace career that spanned 35 years. Upon retirement, he and Juanita relocated to Overland Park, Kansas.
He served in the United States Army and later received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from University of Redlands.
He was a long time member of Holmeswood Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and First Baptist Church, in Van Nuys, California, where he served as a deacon and also sang in their choirs. Don also performed in the Holmeswood Community Chorus for over ten years.
Don was known for his very kind disposition and always had a loving way about him. A dry wit and a clever smile were often visible when he enjoyed time with family or friends. His deep love, devotion, and serving heart to his wife, Juanita, were steadfast and unwavering. Don loved the Lord and will be dearly missed, but his family finds great comfort knowing he is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Donald is survived by his wife; three daughters and their spouses; his brother; brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and eight grandchildren.
“The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life, through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Roman 6:23
