

He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving cool dadio, grand dadio, son, brother, uncle and friend.
George was born on January 1, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas to Josiah Preston Haworth and Virginia Lea Quick. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of American Legion Post #153 in Olathe, Kansas.
George worked as a welder for the Royal Tractor Company. Nothing gave him greater joy than spending time with his family and grandchildren.
George is preceded in death by his two brothers: Gene Haworth and Norman Haworth.
Survivors include his father: Joe Haworth, mother: Virginia Purcell, his loving wife of 19 years Teresa Lynn (Hendrickson) Haworth, daughter: Alyxandria Genea’ Haworth, sons: Kyle Anthony Madl and his wife Lindsey and Marcus Gene Lewis and his wife Jill.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his two grandchildren: Landon Lewis and Isayah Haworth. George is also survived by his brother: James Purcell. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the McGiley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Burial with Military Honors in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: “The Family” to help with the funeral expenses. Checks may be made out to Teresa Haworth.
