

Jane Wangui Rugaini was born on January 01, 1959 at Kamuchege, Kiambu. She was the third born to the late Tabitha Wanjiku and Eliud Njihia. Sister to Miriam Wanjiru, James Kahumbura, Peter Waweru, Ruth Kabura, Mary Muthoni, and Lucy Nduta.
She grew up in the church which was at Kamuchege P.C.E.A., where she was baptized and confirmed. She gave her life to Christ at Umoja P.C.E.A. church.
At the age of 7, Jane started schooling at Kamuchege Primary School. After sitting for her K.C.P.E., she proceeded to Gatamaiyu high school for 4 years.
Jane Wangui got married to Samuel Rugaini and they were blessed with 3 children -- 2 sons and 1 daughter. She became a business woman for several years and later moved to America in 2006. In America, she found her passion in healthcare and immediately started working until she became ill. She has been a devoted member of Neema Community Church.
Jane was diagnosed with cancer in 2008. Since then, she has been in and out of the hospital. She has bravely fought this illness for four years, until she rested on Monday November 7th 2011 at 7:45 am.
She leaves behind three children Mwaura, Wangari, and Njihia, two grandchildren; Ashley and Samuel and many friends in KC.
Jane loved being around people, she was the kind of person who always had time to listen and help everyone. She was always a fighter and she had remarkable courage. Sometimes even when in tremendous pain, she always had time to laugh with you and would never know she was in such pain. Jane loved life, whether it was laughing, shopping or joking around with her friends and family. Jane left us with these words; “Be strong”.
Jane will forever be missed.
