Jeanne grew up on her family farm. Her and her siblings spent a lot of their youth working on the farm feeding the animals and milking the cows. She loved that farm. In 1971 she graduated from Wolsey High School. She later joined the Army in 1974. She married in 1975 and they had three children. Ronald was born in 1976, Ryan in 1978 and Shane 1981. In 1994 the family settled in Papillion, Nebraska. This is the place they would finally call home.
In 2004 Jeanne, the boys and their families relocated to Olathe, Kansas. Jeanne purchased her first home here and was very proud. Jeanne loved to garden and cook large meals for her family during the holidays and big football games. She loved the Huskers and the Chiefs. The love of her life was her pit-bull Dozer. He never left her side.
Jeanne is survived by her three boys Ronald Banks, Ryan Banks and his wife Monica, and Shane Banks and his wife Vanessa. Her six grandchildren that she adored endlessly. Zachary, Cody, Layla, Chase, Carson and Shaylee. Siblings Deanna Wendt and her husband Larry, Mary Hurst and her husband Glen and Robert Wagner and his wife Lynette along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
“Celebration of Life” 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Pancreatic Cancer Association.
