Margaret Marie Corrigan

Margaret Marie Corrigan (“Margie”), 86, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Friday, January 03, at her home in Cedar Lake Village. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014 10~10:45a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 900 S. Honeysuckle Dr., Olathe, KS. The Rosary will be recited at 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

She was born in Joliet, Illinois to Stephen Furdek and Louise Brnca. In her youth, she worked for the US Navy at Great Lakes, Illinois near Chicago where she met her husband, Thomas, and moved with him to Kansas, where they celebrated 59 years of marriage together. A homemaker, Margie, was also an award-winning gardener, and avid collector of coins and memorabilia. She also never met a puzzle she couldn’t master.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Bernard Corrigan and daughter Paula Teresa Corrigan, her brother, Stephen Furdek and sisters, Helen Furdek and Rose Marie Atchley. She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Berard of Covina, CA, and brother Richard Furdek of Manhattan, Il, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Her sense of humor and indomitable spirit will be missed.
