Mary Ann Fales

Mary Ann (Kaiser) Fales, 83, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2024 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Interment in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery 1150 North 38th Street Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Monday, April 15th one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mary Ann was of the Catholic faith. She was born October 17, 1940 in LaSalle, Peru, Illinois to Ralph and Marie (Gehant) Kaiser. She graduated from LaSalle, Peru township high school in 1958 on High Scholarship Legion.

She was employed at Gibson's Discount Center from (1978-1993) and at Westlake Ace Hardware From (1993-2004). She loved working in retail, especially meeting and greeting all her great customers from over the years. Mary Ann was eminently considerate of others feelings. One of her greatest pleasures was remembering and sending Birthday, Anniversary, Holiday and Thinking of You greetings.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Marie Kaiser, her beloved husband of forty-nine years Michael Fales, son-in-law Gary Spicer, brother Edward Kaiser and brother-in-law Dave Wasilewski.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving family, daughter Kimberly Tabor and her husband Kenneth of Kansas City, Kansas, sons Gerald Starkey and his wife Christina of Heartland, TX, Larry Starkey and his wife Karla of Kansas City, MO and Michael Fales II and his wife Tanya of Olathe, KS.Sisters Norma Jean Wasilewski, Kay Lou Wasilewski (Mike Bright) and sister-in-law Patricia Kaiser. Left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Morgan (Wes), Courtney (Josh), Danielle (Bobby), Joseph, Kinley, Henry (Macna) and Melissa (Juan), Great grandchildren Audrey (Joey), Sidney (Blaine), Drake, Madilynn, Emily, Henry Jr. Victor, Mercades, Sophia, Abby, Robert, Alexus, Avery, Alaina, Joshua and Riley. Great great great grandkids Wreney, Brooks, Memphis, Arianna and Emorie. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to list, but not forgotten. She valued her family where ever they were. Immediate or extended, they all owned a piece of her heart.

At her request in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given "In Memory of Mary Ann" to Olathe Medical Center Hospice, Safe Home in Overland Park, Kansas or Girls and Boys Town in Boys Town, Nebraska.
