Mitchell “Mike” Tola of Olathe passed away December 28, 2020. He was born July 7, 1930 in Ecorse, Michigan to the late Antonio Tola and Mary (Ciarlino) Tola. Mike lived in Olathe Kansas for 41 years. He was a Veteran from Us Army-Korean War where he earned the esteemed purple heart. Mike worked 35 years at Amoco Oil and retired in 1988. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mike was preceded in death by wife, Joyce Tola and daughter, Sharon Burns
Survivors include: daughter, Laura Colburn and spouse David Colburn; son, Tony Tola; son, Paul Tola and spouse, Brennda Tola; daughter, Teresa Dodd and spouse Jerry Dodd; son, Chris Tola and spouse, Melissa Tola; grandchildren: Michael Colburn, Kristen Boling, Nicole Burns, Heather Burns, Cami Diaz, Mitchell Dodd, Alex Dodd, Jack Tola and Lindsey Tola; great grandchildren: Audrey Colburn, Harper Colburn, Reagan Boling, Jackson Boling, Hayden Peters, Rylee Peters and companion and best friend for the last 27 years, Judy Frye.
Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W 143rd St., Olathe, KS 66062. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
