He was born in Garnett, Kansas to Michael "Mike" Bell and Linda Bell on July 27, 1973. Ritchie graduated from Gardner High School. From a child, he loved to drive and race anything he could. That passion for speed never left him and he spent years racing in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). One of his favorite places to race was at Lake Garnett Grand Prix. Although, sometimes it seemed he would spend more time fixing his cars than racing them.
Ritchie was a hardworking man who spent the last twenty years as a heavy equipment operator for the Local 101 Union. He was a man who was always willing to help and be there for you when you needed him. His life was truly about loving his family especially "his girls" who were what brought the most happiness to his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, son, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Bell.
Survivors include his wife Jonie Bell of Olathe, Kansas; daughter Larissa Bell of Olathe, Kansas; father Mike Bell of Gardner, Kansas; granddaughters Emma and Aria of Olathe, Kansas; brother Kyle Bell and long-time girlfriend Amanda Pflumm of Olathe, Kansas; and sister Jayme Mills and husband Chris of Belton, Missouri.
