Russell Wallace ‘Wally’ Jeffries, 77, of Olathe KS, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 31, 2020, surrounded by family at his home. Wally was born on January 25, 1943 in Sedalia, MO the son of James Russell Jeffries and Frances (Newton) Jeffries, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Norma Jean Long.
On November 30, 1962, Wally was united in marriage to his best friend Darlene (Thompson), who resides in the home. Two children were born to this union: Richard and Robin.
Wally loved fishing, his family, working on the farm and in his garden. He was a friend to everyone he met and was known for his smile, beautiful blue eyes, and that ‘Wally chuckle’.
In addition to Darlene, survivors include a son, Richard Jeffries and wife Patty of Kansas City, KS; daughter Robin Killion and husband David of Lenexa KS; grandson Jake Miller and wife Stephanie; step grandsons Caleb Wright and Cody Clark and his wife Sarah. In addition, his four legged walking companion who was always by his side, Buddy.
No services to be held. Final resting place will be at Millers Chapel Cemetery, Nelson, MO.
