Ruth E Jones

Ruth Elizabeth Jones, 96, of Olathe, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Funeral services will be 10am, Saturday, November 26th at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home with burial following in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:00am, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 Ridgeview Rd, Olathe, KS 66061.

Ruth was born August 19, 1915 in Cleburne, KS to Fred and Elizabeth (Oberhelman) Toburen. She graduated from Morgonville High School and Lawrence Business College. She was employed at Kansas Electric Power Company in Lawrence.

Ruth married J.F. Jones on May 1, 1942. For many years she assisted her husband with the accounting of his grocery business. She was also employed by the City of Olathe. Mrs. Jones was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Bonita Hummers FCE.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 7 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 great grandson.

Mrs. Jones is survived by a son, Roger F. Jones and his wife Karen of Aurora, CO; two daughters, Sharon Koepke and her husband John of Topeka, KS and Vicki L. Jones of Mission, KS; three grandchildren, Jeff Koepke and his wife Laura of Evergreen, CO, Jaylene Cantrell and her husband Jard of Centennial, CO and Juli Jones and her husband Mat Davenport of Framingham, MA and three great grandsons, Mason and Gavin Cantrell and Elan Davenport.
