Sallie Elizabeth Wood, 39, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Sallie was born on February 17, 1982 in Bend, Oregon to Veron Howard and Louise Jeanne (Epperson) Wedman. She attended and graduated from Century High School in Oregon. She met the love of her life Jared Russell Wood and they were married on June 26, 2002. Together they raised their daughter Hannah.
Sallie was a member of the Olathe Westside Nazarene Church in Olathe, Kansas. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, and spending time with her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the times she spent along the Oregon Coast. She will be sadly missed.
Sallie is survived by her loving husband Jared R. Wood and their daughter Hannah Martha Wood, parents; Veron and Lois Weedman, father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Kathy Wood and brother; Dan Weedman of Portland, Oregon.
A visitation for Sallie will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 105 E Loula St, Olathe, Kansas 66061. A funeral chapel service will occur Friday, February 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
