

Sarah Jane Galbraith, age 69, of Overland Park, KS passed away on March 23, 2023. She was born in Quebec, Canada on March 6, 1954. Sarah was adopted by Herb and Mary Anderson of Lyons, KS. Sarah was a lifelong resident of Lyons, KS, and graduated from Lyons high school in 1972. Sarah married Keith Radcliffe in 1972. In 1975 they welcomed their twins Derek and Doug. In 1979 they had their daughter Amy, followed by their daughter Genevieve in 1982.
Sarah attended Northern Oklahoma College from 1982-1985. Where she received her nursing degree. After college, she was an area registered nurse for 20 years. Sarah was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Sterling, KS. Her love for her patients, family and friends made her happy and passionate. Her smile was infectious and her laughter and voice filled any room.
As she pursued her college education, she put all her heart into raising her 4 beloved children. She loved them so intensely that she home-schooled them all. Sarah was promoted to grandmother in 1995 with her first grandchild Ryan Radcliffe, then in again in 1996 with Kylee Radcliffe. Three years later she had her third grandchild Nathan Radcliffe. Four years later her final grandchild Michael Corbett! Sarah was a political activist and fought for people with disabilities to have the right to work in the medical field.
Sarah always loved reading, singing blue grass, enjoyed spending time with her church friends and shopping. Sarah remarried Steven Galbraith in 2001.
She is survived by her two sons Douglas Radcliffe (Tawana) of Lyons, KS, and Derek Radcliffe (Jamie) of Decatur, IL; two daughters Amanda Kurth of Great Bend, KS, and Genevieve Radcliffe of Des Moines, IA. She also leaves behind four grandkids, four great-grandkids, Carter Ficken, Sophia Merdock, Bentlee Radcliffe and Hazel Radcliffe.
Sarah is preceded in death by her husband Steven Galbraith; brother David "Andy" Anderson; daughter-in-law Heather Radcliffe; and both parents, Herb and Mary Anderson. We ask any memorials be donated to the Bell fund in Lyons, KS.
