Sharon was a very wise woman. She was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, always offering advice and wisdom for any situation. She was encouraging and showed her children how to excel and strive to be their very best.
Sharon graduated from Desoto High School in 1974. Sharon began her journey as a mother when her first daughter was born in 1978.
Sharon met and married the love of her life, Rick Rogers on May 22, 1982, followed by the birth of her second child in 1983.
Together with Rick, they raised their two beautiful daughters with gentle and firm guidance. It was important to her to celebrate successes and to support and encourage her daughter’s choices. She always tried her best to support you even if the decision was not one, she would make herself. That is how you knew that she loved you.
Sharon (aka Nonna) spent endless hours fawning over and absolutely adoring her grandchildren, trying to show any and everyone who asked photos of them on her phone.
She spent endless hours caring for and loving her grandchildren.
Her home and heart were always open. Sharon enjoyed watching movies and listening to music. She loved Elvis and the Eagles. While she loved watching films on repeat and singing along to her music, what she enjoyed most was just shooting the breeze, catching up and laughing with those she held closest to her heart while making room for new friends. She loved being “beautified” and shopping when Kohl’s cash was calling her name. She loved her family fiercely and aimed to keep them close together. Sharon also loved her fur babies. They were her pride and joy and gave her many years of love and joy. This was not just exclusive to her pets either. She loved all pets. She would become their friend no matter whose animal it was. She leaves behind her “Big Boy” Thor that she loved so dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ronald Gene Sr. and Barbara Jo Carpenter, brother, Christopher Carpenter, and sister Marilyn Sullivan.
Sharon is survived by her husband Rick Rogers of the home, two daughters, Miranda Masden (Dove) of Overland Park, KS., and Ashley Rogers (Sallie Lewis) of Hull UK; three grandchildren, Brandon, Sean, and Kylie Dove, brother Ronald Carpenter Jr. (Beverly) of West Branson, MO., brother-in-law Brad Rogers (DeAnna) of Enid, OK., Tom Rogers of Olathe, KS. and sister-in-law Mary Rogers of Edgerton Kansas. Several nieces and nephews with an extended family that she loved so much also survive her.
