Soni Masters

Soni Masters, a beloved mother and grandmother and faithful resident of Spring Hill, KS, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on December 31, 1938, Soni grew up in Shawnee Mission, where she attended Shawnee Mission Schools and Shawnee Mission North High School.

Soni was a devoted homemaker who found joy in cleaning and helping others find the Lord. Her life was a testament to her faith, as she regularly engaged in prayer calls for others. She was married to Miles Masters for 48 years, together living a life filled with love and faith. Soni took great pride in their marriage and religious devotion.

Her personal interests included feeding birds and watching the wildlife in her yard. She took pleasure in caring for their farm and shared what she had to bless others. Soni was dedicated to her church community and was known for her fervent faith, often answering the phone with the greeting, "Praise the Lord."

Soni was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Miles Masters. She is survived by her son Steve (Holly) Mehlstaub, daughter Daphne (Marty) Barber, grandsons Max Mehlstaub and Louis (Phin) Mehlstaub, granddaughters Bailey (Zach) McGlasson and Taylor (Baileigh) Barber, and great-grandson Cooper McGlasson.

Soni's family expresses much gratitude to the hospice nurses and others who provided care and support to her. Her legacy of faith and love will be cherished by all who knew her. The family will honor her privately, and no formal service is planned.
