Thomas Grover Locke III

He was born on March 30, 1947 to the late Thomas G. Locke Jr and Betty M (Killion) Locke in Gardner, KS. Thomas moved to Edgerton in 1959 and graduate from Edgerton High School in 1965. He served in the boy scouts for 8 years. Thomas married Donna on July 24, 1966 and they were happily married for 55 years. Tom and his brother with two friends started a band called The Strangers and played at Edgerton City Hall and Teen Town for two years. He served in the US Army and then worked for Deluxe Check Printers for 30 years. Thomas loved his family, camping, traveling, music and playing it on his guitar and was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bonnie Locke and brother, Kevin Locke.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Locke; daughter, Janet Rhodes; sons: Kelly Ray Locke and Daniel Locke; grandson, Austin Rhodes and wife Katarina; sisters: Becky Wise and Brenda Bowers; brothers, Jerry Locke, David Locke and Bobby Locke.

There will be a visitation on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the McGilley and Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00. Burial will follow services at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
