She was born on September 21, 1920, in Peckville, PA. Her childhood was spent in the Pocono Mountain area. In July of 1942 she met her soon to be husband, Ed and they were married in September of that year. Ed immediately headed off to war and Vi moved to Topeka, Kansas where Ed’s family lived. After WWII was over Ed and Vi settled in Olathe, Kansas to raise a family.
She was a school secretary with the Olathe School system until she retired in 1983. Throughout Vi’s life she touched many people. Her love of knitting beenie’s and giving them away provided warm heads to many, many individuals.
Vi is preceded in death by her husband Edward Badsky Sr., her son Edward Badsky Jr., and her grandson Douglas Holda. She leaves behind two daughters Melody (Gene) Reardon and Carol Susan (Bob) Holda, three grandsons Patrick (Leslie) Reardon, Kyle (Kristen) Reardon and Brian Holda. Vi had four great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
After 104 years it is time to say goodbye. At the request of Vi there will be no funeral or services. Those who knew her will understand her request and remember her fondly. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
