William “Bill” Lewis Carrington, 73, passed away on November 19, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his children, Russell (Holly) Carrington and Tina Carrington, his sister Marilyn McCallie, the mother of his children, Connie Steen as well as many devoted friends.
Born in Hominy, Oklahoma to Lewis and Mary Carrington in 1945, Bill was always a quick thinker, hard worker and an innovative businessman. He served his country in the US Army Reserves from 1963-1970. After his military service, Bill began his lifelong work in the printing industry.
He started Print Tech, a printing company specializing in tamper-evident security seals in 1984 and worked diligently to grow his business until the time of his passing. Much to his delight, he proudly worked side by side with his son Russell for the last 18 months of his life.
A motorcycle enthusiast, an energetic inventor, loyal friend and proud father, Bill was always around whenever someone needed help or a good laugh.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 2 p.m. at McGilley & Frye F.H. 105 Loula St. Olathe, KS. Visitation 1-2 p.m. Thursday, prior to service.
