Christina Margaret Morey Collins

Christina Margaret (Morey) Collins, 86, of Millstone Township died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Born in Newfoundland, Canada, at age 18 Christina came to the US and settled in Brooklyn, NY. Most recently Christina lived in Sayreville before moving to Millstone Township 6 years ago.

Christina was a homemaker and was known for her kindness, compassion and love she gave to her family and friends.

Christina always put her family’s needs before her own.

She enjoyed reading, country/western music, shopping and dinners with her family. She was very religious and spiritual; always had her rosary beads by her side.

Christina is predeceased by her beloved parents Robert Morey and Margaret (Quigley) Morey. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years James Joseph Collins; her loving daughter Karen (and Bruce) Gilbertson and cherished grandchildren Kari and Kylie; her loving daughter Patty (and Frank) Senatore and cherished grandchildren Frankie and Ashley; her loving daughter Darline Collins and her cherished grandchildren Jeremy and Chloe and adored great-grandson Chace; her loving daughter Debi (and Kevin) McGuire; her loving son Jim (and Denise) Collins and adored granddaughter Kristin; her loving son Tim (and Mary) Collins and adored grandchildren Timothy, Madeline and James; her loving daughter Kelly Collins; her loving son Terry (and Caroline) Collins and adored grandchildren TJ and Troy; her loving daughter Kim Collins; and her dear sister Josephine Butler.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home 3377 Hwy 9 Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church 91 Stillhouse Road Millstone Twsp,, NJ 08510. Cremation services will be private.

Memorial contributions may made in Christina’s name to Hospice Visiting Nurse Association Health Group – 176 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 0771.
