

James Brennan, 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New York City, James had lived in the Bronx before moving to Old Bridge 50 years ago. He was a bond trader for 30 years retiring in 1994. James was a member of the Knights of Columbus; a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church; and a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, reading, and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his brother, Bernie; and his sisters, Molly & Marguerite. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Brennan; his daughter, Judith Brennan-Kuldinow; his daughter and son in law, Joanne & Ralph Katz; his son and daughter in law, James & Kim Brennan; daughter and son in law, Jean & Bob Totin; son and daughter in law, Mark & Stacy Powers; son and daughter in law, William & Dominique Powers; daughter and son in law, Kerry Powers & Andrew Crooks; son and daughter in law, Colin & Julie Powers; and his grandchildren: Lauren, Carly, Kristy, Ryan, Samuel, Joanna, Alexis, Mackenzie, Skyler, Robert, Alison, Madison, Ella, Miles, Siena, William, & Lily. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 6-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 9am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow to Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ.
