Katherine Guido

Katherine T. Guido (Devine), 86, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, NJ. Katherine was born in the Bronx, NY, and was a lifelong resident of the Bronx and Yonkers before moving to Old Bridge. She was a secretary for 20 years at Herbert H. Lehman College in the Bronx retiring in 1990. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge; a member of the St. Thomas Seniors; and was a dedicated & devoted secretary of the Lehman College Irish Cultural Society. Katherine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to all. She was a very generous, kind and loving person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Katherine was predeceased by her parents, Thomas & Katherine Devine; her husband, Sebastian Vincent Guido, on Nov. 17, 2005; her sister, Margaret Deady; her brother, Thomas Devine; her brother-in-law, Richard Deady; and her sisters-in-law: Connie Marion, Betty Guido, & Joan Devine. Katherine is survived by her daughters, MaryAnne Guido Freeland and her husband, Kenny; their daughters: Jessica Freeland, Stephanie Freeland-Klenocki and her husband, Zoltan; Kathy Moran Abbot & her husband,Tony; their daughter: Jennifer Moran, and son, Anthony Moran and his wife, Karina, and their children: Ryan & Dominick. She is also survived by her brothers: Fr. Stephen Devine, James Devine, and John Devine; her sister, Mary Fanning and her husband, Jim; her brother-in-law, Paul Guido; her sister-in-law, Eileen Devine; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 9am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Interment will follow to Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
