Michael Joseph Caravella, 81, of Old Bridge, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Manhattan, Michael had lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island before moving to Old Bridge 4 years ago. He worked for Union Local 32BJ as a floor director for 36 years retiring in 1996. Michael was also a member of St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge.
Michael is survived by his wife, Marie (Sciametta) Caravella; his 3 sons: Stephen, Jeff, & John; his 10 grandchildren; and his sister, Dolores Bogaard.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ, and on Friday morning from 9-10am. Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Ambrose Church, 83 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge, NJ. Interment will follow to Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ.
