Pauline G. Rhodes

Pauline G. Rhodes, 86, of Old Bridge, passed away Monday, February 5, 2011 at home surrounded by family. She worked in the floral business for Old Bridge Florist for 35 years. She was an avid walker, walking 4 miles a day and could be seen walking everywhere in Old Bridge. Pauline was a congregant of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge. Born in Roanoke, VA., she has resided in Old Bridge since 1963. She is predeceased by her husband of 23 years, the late Wilfred B. Rhodes in 1969. Surviving are a 4 daughters Sandra E. Totten of Old Bridge; Patricia A. & her husband Paul Hunkele of Forked River; Marilyn Zicha of Freehold; Rhona Rhodes of Old Bridge; and a son Les Rhodes & his wife Susan of Old Bridge; a sister Elizabeth Pettigrew of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 9, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 US Hwy 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 10 at 10:30 am from Hegarty’s. Committal will follow at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Old Bridge Turnpike, East Brunswick.
