Richard E. Fahey

Richard E. Fahey, 59, of Manalapan, died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Hackensack, he lived in Sussex County NJ, before moving to Manalapan 17 years ago.

Mr. Fahey was an ironworker for Local 40 in New York City for 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved music, cars, stereos, golf, and he loved keeping busy and fixing anything he would get his hands on.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Richard F. & Elaine Fahey. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Irene McCusker; his sons, Joseph & Nick Crafa; his sisters, Barbara Kuiken & Cathy Simone; his brothers, Daniel & Tom Fahey; his niece, Jennifer Kuiken; and nephews Edward Kuiken, Steve & Ryan Simone.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered from St. Clement Church, Rt. 79, Matawan, on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11am. Interment will follow to Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick, NJ.
