Mr. Robertson served in the United States Army from 1951 – 1953 during the Korean War. He was an Engineer and Road Designer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and a member of the Mount Juliet Church of Christ. He served as deacon over the Deaf Ministry at the Hermitage Church of Christ, a work that was very dear to his heart.
Mr. Robertson is predeceased by his father, Luther Allman Robertson; and his mother, Lura Mae (McCord) Robertson; brother, Don Robertson; and sisters, Louise Murdock and Hazel Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Faye (Overton) Robertson; daughter, Ellen Gonzales (Speedy) of Dripping Springs, TX; son, Larry W. Robertson (Susan) of Donelson, TN; daughter, Carolyn Cummings of Hermitage, TN; son, Brian E. Robertson (Amy) of Lebanon, TN; granddaughter, Elayna Villalobos (Cory); grandson, Samuel Robertson; three great grandsons, Alex, Davey, Liam and one great granddaughter, Rosana; sisters, Lura Mae Pickney (Jim), Jeanette Roberts (Allen), Phyllis Spicer; brothers, Luther (Vickie) Robertson, Dale Robertson, Terry Robertson (Vickie); and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Monday, January 30, 2023 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 4pm – 8pm and on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 1pm – 2pm. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Tulip Grove Room of the funeral home at 2pm with Pat Hackney, officiating. Larry Robertson, Brian Robertson, Davey Villalobos, Alex Robertson, Cory Myers, and Langley Siekiersky will serve as pallbearers. Following the service, Mr. Robertson will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
