

Mrs. Dukes was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee, to the late Gussie Enos Brake and Alma Jewell Strong Brake. She previously worked for DuPont where she was the first woman supervisor. She enjoyed crocheting, golfing and swimming, and was a professional shopper. She was a longtime member of Old Hickory Church of Christ. Mrs. Dukes was a caregiver to everyone.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hahn, and brothers, Bobby and Carl Brake.
Mrs. Dukes is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Bobby Wayne Dukes; children, Gene (Pam) Hahn, Debbie (Barry) Holt, Kristi (Marty) Penton and Dennis (Vicki) Dukes; 9 grandchildren, Tish (Jon) Carman, Josh (Megan) Holt, Sarah (Steven) Denham, Amanda (James) Garner, Maggie Hahn, Benjamin Dukes, Callyn Corder, Quinn Dukes and Sophia (Kyle) Condon; 5 great grandchildren, Haley and Bryce Carman, Brady and Dylan Holt, and Amelia Garner; special nieces, Rhonda (Joe) Irrera and Cynthia (Arden) White; nephew, Bobby Brake; and several extended family members.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life will be conducted at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Don Loftis officiating.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Middle Tennessee Office, P.O. Box 150036, Nashville, Tennessee 37215, or to Lions Club Leader Dogs for the Blind at www.leaderdog.org.
