Carl Henry Moore

MOORE, Carl H. age 87 passed away June 1, 2012. Born in Murfreesboro, TN Carl moved to Old Hickory at an early age. He graduated from Dupont High in 1942 and joined the service in 1943 as Air Operation in AAFS. He was stationed in Long Beach, CA. After leaving the service Carl graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in Electrical Engineering at which point he joined Dupont where he worked the next 37 years retiring in 1988. Upon retiring he returned to his home state & resided in Brentwood till his passing. Preceded in death by parents, Jacob & Virda Moore; brother, J. Frank “Pete” Moore; sister, Jean Brewer. Survived by wife of 64 years Margaret “Peggy” Newell, son, Don (Cindy) Moore; daughter, Carol (Terry) Heiss; grandchildren, Corey Moore, Chad (Racheal) Moore, Kendra (Charlie) Wineman & Kattie (Chris) Ross; 1 great grandchild, Rebekah Wineman; brother, Otis "Bubby" (Marion) Moore; sister in law, Mary Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 4th at 2 pm. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Honorary pallbearers The Old Hickory Lunch Bunch & Dupont Retiree Breakfast Club.Visitation will be Sunday June 3, 2012 4-8pm and one hour prior to service on Monday.
