

Celia Bolarte was born on November 25, 1931 in Chiquian, Peru, South America. She married the love of her life, Leo Bolarte and they had 3 daughters. Gladys Victoria, Vilma-who died in a tragic car accident in 1970, and Sonia Elisa. Celia attended college in Peru with emphasis on education and religion. They became missionaries traveling every 2 years to Chili, Bolivia, Argentina and back to Lima, Peru. She held a position as Dean of the Women’s Dorm in a Seventh day Adventist College before moving to the United States in 1966. They had friends who lived in Chicago, who they lived with for a few months with their 3 daughters that told them about The Seventh day Adventist school, college & hospital in Madison, TN. So they moved here to Madison, TN to provide a Christian education for their daughters. She attended Southern Missionary College in Chattanooga and received a degree in nursing in 1970. As a dedicated Registered Nurse she cared for each patient as if they were family. Very well loved and admired by coworkers and Doctors, she never met a stranger. Celia was a great example of a Christian woman. She was an inspiration to anyone she met and loved everyone unconditionally. She worked in the Critical Care area, then became a Nurse Manager on a medical floor of Madison Hospital and TCMC. Her recent accomplishments include being a member of the Red Hat Society, active member of the Fifty Forward and Senior Ride Advocate. She was a devoted wife, beloved Mother, generous Grandmother, Great grandmother and Great-great grandmother, five generations.
Preceded in death by the love her life Leo Bolarte and daughter Vilma Bolarte, great granddaughter Kimberly Hudgens, great great granddaughter Brooklyn Hudgens, great great grandson Noah Hudgens; Survived by daughters; Gladys Victoria Davis (Bob), Sonia Elisa Casler (Carl); Grandchildren Scott Steven Hudgens Sr., Victoria Renee Holder, Landron Lee Hudgens Jr., Julia Catherine Glisson, Anna Marie Clayborne (Marcus) and Rachel Sofia Vanns (Orry); Great-grandchildren, Caleb and Noah Glisson, Gavin Gomez, Mason Vanns, Hayden, Kendall, Caylee Clayborne, Kelly Renee Wakefield, Darren Duncan, Travis Harmon, Scott Steven Hudgens Jr,. Melissa Fuston and Blake Davis; Great-great grandchildren Jacob Ray, Allissa and Vanessa Wakefield, Tilaya and Shawn Hudgens, Isiah Fuston, Wade, Mailjah and Zayne Davis.

Private Gathering of immediate family and private celebration of Life will be held at Hermitage Funeral home on Tuesday May 12, 2020. Burial following at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
