She will be remembered as a loving mother and daughter who found joy in her day-to-day life. Dawn had a great sense of humor and wit and loved bringing people together with laughter. She was a lover of music and dancing, loved her pets, and was always doing her arts and crafts projects – especially crocheting gifts for family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Shelby Nicole King and Dylan Ronald King; mother Margaret B. Taylor; brother James Jason Miller, stepmother Alleese Miller, stepsiblings Kevin Taylor, Cheryl Allen, Daryl Bard, Kenny Bard and Allen Bard; also her loving aunts, uncles and extended family.
Dawn is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Lee Miller and stepfather Marvin Royce Taylor.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 2:00-4:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Her Celebration of Life will begin at 4:00pm in the Tulip Grove Chapel at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
