

Desiree Josefina Vasquez, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2016. She was a member of the St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, St. Francis Tuesday Bible Study and the Friday Night Church League. She was also a member Beta Sigma Phi, the local chapter of the Xi Delta Kappa, which is an international social, cultural and service organization. Most recently, she became a member of the Gilda’s Club, and Banebow, an organization that provides spiritual assistance to families who have sustained the sudden loss of a child. She was an active participant in Tennessee Voice for Victims and was instrumental in driving the Victim Life Photo Bill through the Tennessee Legislature. She is also an extraordinary wife, mother and friend.
Desiree is survived by her husband, Baloy Vasquez and her daughter Annelise Vasquez of Lebanon; mother Elvita de Regnault, sisters Denis Regnault, Nohemi de Vasquez and Diane de Fernandez; brothers Ernesto and Fidel Vasquez, Rogelio Medina and Argenis Fernandez; uncle, Jorge Cunningham; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Ian and Jessica Medina, David, Moises and Argelia Fernandez, Fidel, Veronica, Nakari and Judy Vasquez, Jorge Sebastian, Juanmanual, Marialejandra and Andreseduardo Cunningham. Desiree also leaves behind her extended family: Muth, Radcliff, Krayenhagen, Turner, Lumpkin, Van Frank, Rodriguez, Rapalo, Garcia, Cardenas, Rodriguez, the St. Francis Cabrini, St Ann Catholic Church and School and Nativity families and many, many others, too numerous to count.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January, 8 for a Rosary from 5:00-6:00pm at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 300 S. Tarver Ave., Lebanon, TN 37087. Visitation will be held at St. Francis Cabrini January, 9 from 11:00-1:00. Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Cabrini on January, 9 at 1:00. A reception will follow.
