Don Ayers, of Mount Juliet, TN, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. In 1977, he met the love of his life, Gayle, at WJLS. Don was very straightforward. He enjoyed latch hooking and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Foster Ayers. He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle Ayers; children, Allie and Alex Ayers; special cousin and friend, Carolyn Sanford of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and several other cousins, aunts, and uncles. Visitation will be Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, with The Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 pm with Dr. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, Old Hickory, TN.
