Donald was born in Macon County, Tennessee, to the late Dow and Beulah Langford on March 27, 1938. He lived on and worked the family farm until he left for the Army. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He joined Bethany Missionary Baptist Church as a teenager and later moved his membership to Faith Missionary Church in Nashville, where he was a Deacon. Donald married the love of his life, Nella Jean, and they shared 58 wonderful years together. Donald's career was with Sears as a Television and electronics repairman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nella Jean, and step-granddaughter, Jessica Hunley; brothers, James Langford (Georgia), Homer Langford (Mary Nell), Jimmy Langford (Shirley Day), and Eugene Langford; sister Sue Grubbs (Dorman).
Donald is survived by son, Stephen Langford; daughters, Beverly Langford (Joe Krebs) and Susan Hunley (Chris); brothers, Joe Langford (Rena) and Tony Langford (Sherry); Sisters Elaine Kriebel (Les), Shirley Dawson (Forest), Martha Woodcock (Danny) and Doris Williams (Gerald); Grandchildren, Paul Davis, Andy Davis, Erin Hudspeth and Jordan Hunley; and four Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The Celebration of Donald's life will be on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at 10:00 am with Pastor Ron Spurgeon and Pastor Barry Armour officiating.
