
SANSOM. Donna Hicks Morgan went home to the Lord on Sunday, December 12th, 2010. Her loving and devoted family was at her side. She was born to Billie and Richard Hicks in Nashville, TN on May 17th, 1946. Donna used her God given talents to bless others. She worked as an interior designer in the Nashville and Memphis area for many years. As she fought her own battle with cancer, she served with the “Red Aprons” at West Clinic in Memphis. Donna is survived by her loving husband of fourteen years, Al “Alfred Earnest” Sansom; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Eric Tucker of Germantown, TN; step-son and daughters Christopher Sansom, Brian (Amy) Law, Brandi (Jay) Bradley and Brittany (Ryder) McGregor; sister, Wanda (Jimmy) Butler of Ridge Top, TN; eleven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andi (Andrea Dee) Morgan, her parents, and her brother Dicky Hicks, Jr. Donna and Al were members of First Baptist Church in Old Hickory, TN for ten years and at Grace Evangelical Church in Germantown, TN for the past five years. Donna was beautiful from the inside out. She was loved by many and exemplified the life of the Proverbs 31 woman. She has “fought the good fight, she has finished the race, and she kept the faith” (II Timothy 4:7). A visitation will be held Monday, December 13th, in the narthex area of Grace Evangelical Church at 9750 Wolf River Blvd. across from Houston High School in Germantown, TN. 38139. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with visitation Tuesday, December 14, from 5-8 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
