Dotty was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to parents, Leon and Dorothy (Dot) Creech on December 22, 1949. She graduated from Two Rivers High School and attended Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. She was quiet and very smart. She taught the subject of mathematics in Brunswick, Georgia and continued teaching at Bellevue Middle School and McGavock High School in Nashville. Some of her greatest loves were horses, dogs, and, in general, all of nature.
Dotty is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Giles; and her parents, Leon and Dorothy (Dot) Creech. She is survived by her sister, Kathy (Trice) Fasig; her niece, Amy Fasig; her nephew, Jacob (Allison) Fasig; great-nieces, Zoe, Eve, Sarah; life-long friend, Sally Palmer; and god-daughter, Rachel Shaw.
Celebration of life will be held 2 pm Sunday Dec 5th at Hermitage Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Fasig officiating. Visitation from 1 pm till service.
