Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather
On April 21, Edwin (Eddie) Burton Parman, Jr. passed away at the age of 56. He fought a strong battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome that progressed into Acute Leukemia (AML). He spent the final months of his life surrounded by family, friends, and a wonderful team at Vanderbilt Stem Cell Transplant clinic, but his permanent residence is in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Judy Parman, four children, Richard, Rebecca Rohr, Michael, and Heather, and six grandchildren, Rachel, Taylor, Tristan, Caleb, Gracie, and Tatum.
Eddie was born on July 27, 1955 in West Palm Beach, FL. For 23 years, he worked for The Tennesseean. A new career opportunity that took him east to work at the Chattanooga Times Free Press where he was a District Manager for the East Ridge area for the last ten years.
Eddie is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Fuller, and his sister, Debbie Parman.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, April 23, from 1-8 PM and Tuesday, April 24, from 11 AM to time of service at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Old Hickory, Tennessee 37138.
