Eric Dwayne Maddox, 55 of Nashville, died Saturday June 17, 2023. Eric was born in Nashville on May 26, 1968 to Raymond and Faye Maddox. Eric was a member of the last graduating class of DuPont High School in 1986. Following high school Eric went to work with his father Raymond as an IT manager in graphic arts, then later working for the Dennis paper company.
Eric loved his motorcycles and cars, often participating in charity and poker runs with his friends. He loved to fish, camp and hang out with his buddies’ playing cards and listening to Bluegrass music. Family was important to him and he was a devoted son, father, uncle and friend to all that knew him. He will be missed greatly.
Eric was preceded in death by his father Raymond Russell Maddox and daughter Meagin Lee Maddox.
He is survived by his mother Faye Maddox, sons: Joshuah (Brittney) Maddox and Travis Maddox, a sister Mina (Gregory) Wilkins, a nephew, Ryan (Katie) D Wilkins and a niece, Rachel(Chris) Apple and 3 great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday June 22, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00pm and Friday June 23rd from 10:00- 11:00am at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138 A Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday at the Hermitage Funeral Home. Interment to follow Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the Tennessee Kidney Foundation.
