

Eula Hennsessee Latham born August 29,1923, to Eve & Thomas Turner. Passed peacefully Monday, May 30, 2016 in the care of Alive Hospice surrounded by loving family. Preceded in death by parents, Eve Ann & Thomas Turner; brothers Ahval, John B, Richard, Jim, Ferman, Jessie & Herb Turner; sisters, Flona & Rebecca Turner; husband of 48 years, Jimmy Hennessee; Husband of 22 years Doug Latham; daughter, Phyllis Smith. Survived by daughter, Sylvia Wilson, grandchildren, Leigh Hale, Lori Kolb, Sharon (Scott) Vaden, Jeff (Karen) Smith; great grandchildren, Zach and Lauren Vaden, Heidi, HaiLee Kolb, Brayden Smith. Eula was the last surviving child (of a family of ten). Her family was warm and loving always enjoying time spent together. She took great pride in being a “homemaker” She was known as a Bible scholar; having taught youth and Ladies classes at Green Hill, Hermitage and Lebanon Rd Church of Christ for many years. An expert gardener she enjoyed sharing flowers with her friends. Eula enjoyed traveling the world with family & friends especially Europe & the Promise Land. She especially enjoyed playing card games and used every opportunity to spend time with her beloved family. A strong example and influence on many she was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all. Gathering of family & friends will be held Friday, June 3rd 11am -12:30 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home with Funeral Services at 12:30 PM with August Ruff and Gibson Baucom officiating. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family & friends of Green Hill Church of Christ serving as pallbearers.
