Eulonda B Ford

Eulonda Beard Ford, age 75, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends, following complications from pneumonia.

Eulonda was born on September 18, 1949, in Dickson, Tennessee, to Earl and Doye Beard. She graduated from Hickman County High School and earned a degree in education from Middle Tennessee State University. She started her teaching career in Hickman County and later returned to MTSU to complete her master’s degree.

During this time, she met the love of her life, Charles Ford, on a blind date. They married on May 26, 1973, and made their home in Nashville. Eulonda dedicated over 40 years to Metro Nashville Public Schools, first as a classroom educator and later in Federal Programs, where she positively impacted countless students and families.

In 1980, Eulonda and Charles welcomed their son, Mason. In 2001, the family moved to Mt. Juliet, where they made their home by Old Hickory Lake. Eulonda found joy in tending to her plants and flowers. She also loved relaxing on the porch and soaking in the peaceful beauty of the water.

Known for her warmth, kindness, and welcoming spirit, Eulonda cherished time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed boating and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans, Tennessee Vols, and the Atlanta Braves. In recent years, she loved spending winters in Fort Myers, Florida.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Charles Ford; her sister-in-law; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mason Ford, and her parents, Earl and Doye Beard.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eulonda’s memory to the charity of your choice.
