

Mr. Frank Douglas “Frankie” Cook , age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Hermitage, Tennessee, on April 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel Wheeler and John Cook; and brothers Joe Cook and Gary Cook.
He is remembered by his wife of 61 years, Katherine Cook, two sisters, Debbie and Kathy, two daughters, Tammy (Brad) Duncan and Michelle (Sonny) Formato, six grandchildren, Morgan (Brian) O’Neill, Taylor Johnson, Madelynn Duncan, Christopher (Emily) White, Cole Formato, Cammie (Trevor) Tumbaridis, four great-grandchildren, Breklyn Johnson, Tynleigh Johnson, Rocco White and Ryder White.
Born on July 29, 1944, he dedicated 36 years of his life to Nashville Electric Service as a lineman. Frankie found joy in simple pleasures and pastimes that brought him closer to the ones he loved. He enjoyed golfing in his younger years; NASCAR races stirred his competitive side. Widely known for enjoying his ice-cold Coors Lights and relaxing in his garage with his grandson, Christopher White. Pappy, as he was affectionately known by all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always had a smile on his face. Whether you saw him yesterday or 5 years ago he would always welcome you with open arms and reminder that he loved you.
Frankie’s memory lives on through the many lives he touched with his warmth and unwavering presence. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and the joy and laughs be brought others never be forgotten.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with The Rosary at 7:00 PM with Father John Baker. There will also be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM with the Celebration of Life from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home with Deacon Christopher Hoover officiating. Will Perry, Chris White, Cole Formato, Brad Duncan, Brian O'Neill, and Zach Cook will serve as pallbearers. Following the service, Mr. Cook will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
